Huntleigh, MO - Seventy-seven members and guests made it a record-setting Junifest on a Saturday, June 16 evening at the spacious home of German American Heritage Society of St. Louis' vice president-events, Isabelle Coovert.

This year's Junifest committee members were: Isabelle Coovert, Judd & Peggy Presley, Morgan Presley, Roy Leimberg, Barbara Nahlik, and Gary & Traude Wilson, Shirley Aschinger and Jeanne and Terry Carmack.  They volunteered to prepare and serve a wonderful buffet dinner with wine, spirits and to insure 67 paying GAHS members and guests had a June evening fund raiser to remember.

Two special milestones were also celebrated: the 51st wedding anniversary of GAHS board member and the Honorary German Consul (emeritus), Anna Beck, and her husband Walt; as well as GAHS board member Don Bergmann's 80th birthday.

Attending new members, Jennifer and Christopher Lehmann, were also greeted with a warm welcome.

Since GAHS is a self-funding not-for-profit organization, proceeds from the event help support annual GAHS grants to the UMSL German Culture Center, UMSL and Webster University Student Studies Abroad Programs, as well as other designated area organizations and programs dedicated to preserving German heritage.
